John Norio

John Angelo Norio passed away on April 2, 2026, in his 92nd year. He was the beloved husband of Maria Moscato for over 60 years and much-loved father of Luigi, Ann-Marie, Gaetano, and Lizette. John was a cherished grandfather of Angela, Clinton, Isabella, Nicholas, Alyssa, and Julia. He was a dear brother of Jeanette Plutino and dear brother-in-law of Greg and Thea Moscato and Antonette Serianni. John is survived by his five nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his father Luigi, stepfather Sebastian Plutino, mother Maria, father-in-law Gaetano, mother-in-law Libera, and brother-in-law Basil. John worked as a pipefitter in construction and at Stelco Page Hershey for over 20 years. He loved travelling with Maria and spending time with his family, especially his five grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to visit J.J. Patterson & Sons Funeral Residence, 19 Young Street, Welland on Tuesday, April 7th from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, April 8th at 11:00 a.m. Private interment to follow at Pleasantview Cemetery. The family extends appreciation to Niagara EMS, Dr. David Stavrou, Dr. Manon Tougas, and the nurses and technicians at Niagara Falls Hospital Emergency and ICU Departments. Memorial donations in memory of John may be made to Diabetes Canada or the charity of one's choice.
