Mary DAYE

Mary Daye (née Adamsky) passed away on November 5, 2025, at the age of 77. She was loved dearly by her husband, Harry, and sons, predeceased by James (who was married to April and had children Zoe, Peyton, and Austin), and Chris (who was married to Shannon and had children Matthew and Lizzie). Mary was the cherished daughter of Michael and Eugenia Adamsky, and daughter-in-law of Harry Sr. and Essie Daye. She was also a sister to the predeceased Peter (who was married to Sandy and had children Tyler and Leigh), Luba (who was married to Mark and had a son Andrew), and Helen (who had daughters Kim, Meaghan, and Cassie). Mary was a loving member of the extended Daye family and proudly displayed her Ukrainian heritage in her home, often sharing traditional dishes with her family and teaching her children and grandchildren Ukrainian words and decorating Ukrainian Easter eggs. In her younger years, Mary was passionate about soccer, playing competitively for the Bolton Wanderers women's team and co-sponsoring her children's teams. She was also a member of the choir at Holy Family Parish of Bolton and enjoyed singing. At home, Mary spent many hours caring for her plants and flowers, and she retired after over 25 years of dedicated employment, where she managed the accounts receivable department with great accuracy and efficiency. After moving to Vittoria, Ontario, Mary became an active member of the Simcoe Seniors euchre club and the Port Dover Legion euchre group, rarely missing a game. She also became a dedicated member of the Wellness Group of Port Dover after being diagnosed with cancer, a group of ladies who supported each other.
