Martin Bakker

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Martin Bakker of Woodstock, Ontario, who departed this life on September 11, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on February 4, 1937, Martin is predeceased by his grandsons, Brandon Merkle and Caleb Haak, as well as his parents, Pieter and Martje. He is survived by his beloved wife, Bertha Bakker (van Hierden), and his children: Peter, Liliam Bakker, Hetty, Gerald Bos, Marian, Benjamin Merkle, Yolanda, Gary Haak, Harry Bakker, and Charleen Bakker. Martin's legacy continues through his numerous grandchildren and siblings, including Ankie Elsinga, Geessien Bakker, and Nick, along with his siblings-in-law. Visitation will take place on September 15, 2026, from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM, both at Brock & Visser Funeral Home, located at 845 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock, ON N4S8Z4.
