Charles Henry Silson (Charlie)
Charles Henry Silson, known as Charlie, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026, at the age of 83, surrounded by his loved ones. A lifelong resident of East York, Charlie was a cherished partner, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, leaving a profound impact on all who knew him. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jennette, his parents Charles and Anne-Marie, his stepdaughter Sandra Alger, and siblings Robert, Merle, Katherine, and Betty. Charlie is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Timothy Contois and Darlene Alger, great-grandchildren Cassandra, Jessica, Angelica, and Darren, great-great-grandchildren Mackenzie and Ezekiel, as well as his partner of over 20 years, Cathy Cole, and her family. A dedicated roofer and owner of C. Silson Roofing, he proudly served his community and was a valued member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 11, where he received Life membership in 2022. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 22, 1240 Woodbine Ave, East York, ON, on June 6, 2026, from 1 PM to 4 PM. Charlie will be deeply missed.
