HUGH DONALD SUTHERLAND

Hugh Donald Sutherland passed away on July 2, 2026, at the age of 84. He was the beloved husband of Denise Sutherland and a devoted father to Dominique, Hugh, and Chantal. Hugh was a proud grandfather to Alexis, Evalina, Patrick, Ryan, Aiden Sutherland, Mitchell, Matthew, Jennifer Findlay, and Fabrice Tomeo, and great-grandfather to Miller. He is survived by his brother Ian, sister Muriel, and their spouses, as well as his stepmother Marian. Hugh was predeceased by his parents, Hugh Woodroffe Sutherland and Jocelyn Sutherland. Born in Belleville, Hugh grew up in Winnipeg and attended United College and the University of North Dakota. He had a successful career in sales, working at Eaton's, K-Tel, and Canadian Tire. Hugh will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and many nieces and nephews who fondly remember him as Uncle Hugh.
