Peter "Pete" SIMONE

Peter 'Pete' Simone passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026, just shy of his 89th birthday, at the age of 88. He was the loving husband of Annette (nee Beneteau) for 68 years. Peter was the dear father of Pat, the late James (January 2026) and his wife Wendy of Edmonton, and Ron and his wife Ann Marie of Niagara. He was the cherished Grandpa of Greg (Erika) Mancina, and Kristen, Lauren (Sam), Kyra (Greg), and Teri (Evan) Simone. Peter is survived by his siblings Theresa (Matt 2003) Cristofaro, Alfred (Judy), John (Valerie 2025), Mary Policella, Jeanette Incitti (Marcel Renaud), Dan (Marilyn), Denise (Ralph) Orsi, Lucy (Andy) Schmidt. He was the dear brother-in-law of Dorothy (Albert 2024) Simone and Dorothy (Pat 2021) Endo. Peter was predeceased by his brother Tony and Ruth Anne (1996) and Simone family nephews Jeffrey, Michael, John, and niece Cynthia. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. As per Peter's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (South Chapel), 3048 Dougall Ave., Windsor on Monday, May 11, 2026 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to meet directly at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 9399 Townline Road, River Canard on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Joseph Church Restoration Fund.
