Mara Brkovich

The family of Mara Brkovich of Windsor, Ontario, announces her passing on October 2, 2026, at the age of 97. Born on March 3, 1929, Mara is remembered by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was predeceased by her parents, Mihailo Ninkovic and Stana Ninkovic; her siblings, Kosa, Nikola, and Boro; and her husband, Stevo. Mara is survived by her sons, Bob (Blazo), Mike (Milan), and Donny (Dragan); her daughter-in-law, Renee; and her friend, Nada Ljepava. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Gracanica Serbian Orthodox Church or the Serbian Heritage Museum. Mara's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
