Johann "John" Schmidt

John Schmidt passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on June 3, 2026. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marguerite; his daughters, Christine McKenzie, Mary Anne, and Monica; his grandchildren, Kyra, Tom, and Jamie; and his brother, Anton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and will be missed by his buddy, Charlie. John is predeceased by his brother, Michael; sisters Kathe and Anna; and his parents, Anton and Katharina. As per the family's wishes, cremation and interment have already taken place. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada if desired.
