Evelyn Grace (nee Walper) JOHN

Evelyn Grace John (nee Walper) peacefully passed away on August 29, 2026, at the age of 98. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Michael George John (1976), and her cherished grandson, Shawn Osmun (2013). Evelyn leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Veronica (the late Lee Toldo, 2023), Christopher John (Katherine), Angela Beattie, Mary (Larry Luvisotto), Cathy (Rick Osmun), Elizabeth (Ron Stephen), Michael John (the late Maryann, 2019), Margaret (Bill Bolton), and George John (Connie). She was a devoted grandmother to 21 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, George and Marine Walper, and five siblings, Evelyn dedicated 25 years to the Bank of Nova Scotia before retiring in 1991. Her family will forever cherish her homemade treats and the warmth she brought to their lives. The family expresses gratitude to the staff at Extendicare Southwood Lakes for their compassionate care. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Windsor and Essex County. A private family service was held in accordance with her wishes.
