EDWARD WILLIAM BRODERICK
Edward William Broderick passed away on April 29, 2026, at the age of 58. He had been fighting a cancer diagnosis for a number of years and had participated in research trial treatments in the hope of benefiting others. Edward is survived by many friends and acquaintances who were enriched by his humour, generous spirit, and his companion rescue dog, Woody. He was predeceased by his parents, Helen and Vincent, who were married for 66 years, as well as his brothers David, baby Vincent, and Neil. He is also survived by his brother Darrell, nieces and nephews Brittany, Brianne, Brandon, Lindsay, and their children, in addition to many cousins. Born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, Edward earned degrees in Business and worked in the auto industry, following in the footsteps of his family. He held various roles in both union and management, developing unique skills that made him a leader in Human Resources. Edward joined MPAC in January 2011 and was proud of his Windsor roots and the values instilled in him by his hardworking parents. He was known for connecting with people and making them laugh. One of his proudest achievements was leading the HR team through the Covid pandemic while keeping everyone together, contributing to MPAC being recognized as a top employer in the GTA. Outside of work, Edward was a devoted dog dad to Woody, enjoyed his motorcycle, and looked forward to the annual trip with friends to the CNE. He was also a devoted Windsor Star reader and a fan of the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Tigers. Visitation will be held at Ogden Funeral Home, located at 4164 Sheppard Avenue East in Agincourt, Ontario, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by a Funeral Mass.
