Edward McCartney

Edward McCartney passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, at the age of 98, with his loving wife and family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Mary Anne McCartney for 73 years. Edward was the loving father of Patricia McCartney, Luanne Leyland, Michael McCartney, Kevin McCartney, Colleen McCartney, Jeffrey McCartney, Kathy Smith, Robert McCartney, and Lori McCartney. He was a cherished grandfather of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Edward was predeceased by his parents, Joseph Wilbert Ross McCartney and Annie McCartney, and his siblings. A private family service has taken place. Donations in Edward's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Huron Lodge for their care and compassion over the last three years.
