David William Brindley (Dave)

David William Brindley, aged 80, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2026, surrounded by family after a courageous five-year battle with cancer. Born on April 25, 1946, in Windsor, Ontario, he was the son of the late Albert and Mary Brindley. David was the cherished husband of the late Donna (Brewer) and a loving father to Michael Brindley (Edward McLaughlin) and Jason (Lori) Brindley. He was a proud grandfather to Zoe Papanastassiou. David is also survived by his siblings, including the late Kenny Brindley (Gail), Larry (Marge) Brindley, Rhonda (Paul) Babiuk, and Rick (Sue Hazlehurst) Brindley, along with many in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews. A retiree from Chrysler after over 30 years, he was a dedicated member of Shakers Inc. and had a passion for cars, especially his 1968 Camaro. An avid hockey and baseball fan, he also enjoyed fishing. The family expresses gratitude to the staff at Windsor Essex County Hospice for their compassionate care. A Celebration of Life will take place on September 19; details can be obtained from family members. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Windsor and Essex Association.
