Catherine M. (Costigan) Macdonald

The family announces the passing of Catherine M. (Costigan) Macdonald of Windsor, Ontario, on September 25, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on July 21, 1945, Catherine was a beloved member of her family and community. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Macdonald, and her parents, Charles Frederick "Ted" and Gertrude Isabel Costigan. Catherine is survived by her children, David (Karen) and Gillian (Mladen Barbaric), as well as her grandchildren, Maya, Elliot Macdonald, Abigail, and Owen Frank Barbaric. She also leaves behind her siblings, Tim (Carol), Dan (Gloria), Peg Eizinas (Al), Jim (Betsy), and Gerry (Charlene). Visitation will take place on September 28, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and on September 29, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Atonement Church, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County, where Cathy volunteered for 25 years, would be greatly appreciated.
