Bernice Schiller

Bernice Schiller (nee Masanovich) passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, June 15, 2026. She is survived by her beloved husband, Russell (Russ), with whom she shared 50 wonderful years of marriage. Bernice was predeceased by her parents, Andrija Masanovich (1986) and Ljubica Masanovich (2000); her brother, Mitch Mason (2022); and her brother-in-law, Steve Gnatovich (2012). She is lovingly remembered by Mitch's wife, Marian Mason; her brother, Walter (Katie) Masanovich; her sister, Helen Gnatovich (partner Rod Campbell); Russ's cousins Nancy Lightbody (Lincoln 2014), and David Foster. Bernice was devoted to her nephews, Jerry Mason, Jeff Mason (Linda), Mark Masanovich (Tricia), and Matti Masanovich (Cristy); her niece, Marlo St. Pierre (Dave); and Russ's cousin's son, Michael Lightbody (Jessica). She cherished her lifelong friendships with Donna Radanovic and Caroline Woronchuk (2022). Bernice was a dedicated employee of Windsor Tool and Die for more than 60 years. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Windsor Regional Hospital and Windsor Essex Hospice for their compassionate care and support. Bernice once said, 'Life was so good, wish I could live it all over again.' As per Bernice's wishes, cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 26, at Casterline Funeral Home in Northville, Michigan, with visitation from 12:00 p.m. until prayers at 2:00 p.m., followed by a luncheon at Rocky's of Northville.
