Margaret MAYNARD

Margaret (Marg) Maynard (nee Harman), affectionately known to her grandchildren as 'Gram', passed away on October 1, 2024, at the age of 92, shortly after her birthday on September 27. She was the daughter of George and Flossie Harman and was raised in Whitchurch-Stouffville, Ontario, along with her 11 siblings. Margaret was a devoted wife to her predeceased husband Allan Ray Maynard (Red), who passed away in 1991. After her marriage to Allan in February 1948, Marg moved to Markham to raise her six children: Shirley, Sue, Diane, Michael, Cathy, and Terri, where she resided in the same home until 2024. Marg was a loving grandmother to 16 children, great-grandmother of 21, and great-great-grandmother of 5. She will be laid to rest on October 12th, alongside her husband at Highland Memory Gardens in North York. As per her wishes, there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Markham Food Bank, where she volunteered for many years.
