MARGARET ALLEN COOK

Margaret Allen Cook (née McCaldin) passed away on June 28, 2026, at Glen Hill Terrace in Whitby, Ontario, at the age of 97. Born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1929, Margaret was raised in Leicester, England before immigrating to Canada at 19 years old. She is survived by her four daughters, Janet Miller, Karen Leaning, Linda Millage, and Marilyn Cook-Borges; her nine beloved grandchildren; and twelve cherished great-grandchildren. Margaret is also survived by her sister, Marion Hartill, and her son-in-law, George Borges. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edward (Ted) Cook (deceased); her sister, Janet Roberts; and her son-in-law, David Leaning. A Celebration of Margaret's Life will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at Courtice Funeral Chapel. Refreshments will follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be most welcome.
