GARY KEIJI YOSHIDA

Gary Keiji Yoshida passed away on June 13, 2026, at the age of 85. He was the oldest child of Yonekazu and Setsuko Yoshida. Born in Vancouver, his family moved to Toronto after WWII internment in Grand Forks, BC. Gary is survived by his wife of 57 years, Glenna; son Jason, his wife Andrea, and children Abigail, Joshua, and Jakobe; son Brett, his wife Nichola, and children Alyson and Braydon; son Sam, his wife Catherine, and children Oliver and Miles; siblings Richard, Lily, Mary, Dianne, and Jane; and was predeceased by siblings June and brother-in-law Len. He is also survived by first cousins in Vancouver, aunties, nieces, nephews, and numerous second cousins. Cremation was handled by Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, Whitby. As per Gary's request, there will be no flowers or life celebration. Gary had a career with IBM in Toronto, followed by a passionate career in certified personal training, massage, and shiatsu at Mayfair Fitness, Markham, and The Grand Hotel, Kelowna, BC. After retiring in Whitby, ON, he enjoyed working at the Wyndance Golf Club. Gary's favourite activities included gym workouts, golf, hockey, baseball, and dragon boat competitions.
