Adrian Akey

Adrian Akey of Whitby, Ontario, was born on November 22, 1939, and died on August 7, 2026, at the age of 86. He was predeceased by his wife Denise, his parents Reginald and Frances, and his sister Maria. He is survived by his children Alida (married to Matthew), Rachelle, Charlotte and Mark; his siblings Peter, Tony and Sandra; his grandchildren Hunter, Peter, Vivian, Reginald and Gilbert; as well as a brother‑in‑law, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends. Visitation took place on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:10 a.m. at the W. C. Town Funeral Chapel, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby. A funeral service was held the same day at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Parish, 903 Giffard Street, Whitby, followed by burial at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, 355 Taunton Road East, Whitby. In lieu of flowers, donations to Ducks Unlimited Canada were requested.
