Ruth (nee. Rankin) BRAGA-SHOALTS

Ruth Braga-Shoalts (nee Rankin) passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026, at the age of 92. She has been reunited with her husband, Robert Shoalts. Ruth will be missed by her brothers, Bev and Ray (Carol), sister-in-law, Linda, and fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Ruth was predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Janet, siblings, Jean, Ina, Jim, and John, as well as brother-in-law Harry, and sisters-in-law, Barb and Joan. Special thanks to the staff at Rapelje Lodge for their kindness and compassion in caring for Ruth in the last years of her life. Services will take place at J.J. Patterson & Sons Funeral Residence on Wednesday, May 27, starting at 1:00 p.m., with a service in the funeral home chapel and burial at Woodlawn Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth's memory can be made to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice.
