Patrick Joseph Demers

Patrick Joseph Demers, affectionately known as Uncle Pat, passed away on July 4, 2026, at the age of 87, surrounded by love at Welland General Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Aline, with whom he shared 47 years of marriage. Pat is survived by his siblings, Jeannine Larivière and Géraldine Blais, and will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, and their families. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Irène Demers, his brothers, André and John Demers, his sister, Thérèse, and his nephew, Raymond Larivière. In his later years, Pat shared his life with his loving partner, Lynette McSpadden, and her extended family, and was predeceased by her grandson, Jordan McSpadden. A man of many talents, Pat enjoyed a lifetime of hard work, community involvement, and various hobbies, including sports, music, and horse racing. He was a devoted Montréal Canadiens fan and had a passion for oldies music, performing with his band, Pat Demers and The Imperials, and singing with fellow musicians in the Niagara Region.
