Mary Margaret WHITELY

Mary Margaret WHITELY passed away peacefully at Woodlands of Sunset on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, in her 93rd year, at the age of 92. She was predeceased by her husband, John 'Jack', in 2021. Mary Margaret is lovingly remembered by her children, Elizabeth Duchesne (Laurent), Brenda Thorsten (Hugh), Douglas Whitely (Laurie), Deborah Maiuk (Casey), Dianne Holmes (Dan), Michael Whitely (Harriett), and Janet Whitely. She will also be remembered by her 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Mary Margaret was the dear sister of Catherine Thomson and Rev. Raymond Maher (Marilyn), and was predeceased by her parents, William and Anna Maher, and brothers, James, John, and Charles. The family will receive friends at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland, on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, 300 Chaffey Street, Welland, on Wednesday, at 11 a.m., followed by the Rite of Committal at Holy Cross Cemetery.
