Marilyn MARCHAND (nee Rivet)

Marilyn Marchand (nee Rivet) passed away on February 2, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on June 25, 1941, in Ottawa, Ontario, she was a devoted wife to Gerard Marchand for 62 years. They met while she was studying to become a registered nurse and married in 1964. They eventually settled in Fort Erie, Ontario, where they lived for over 60 years. After raising her family, Marilyn joined her husband's law firm, where she worked for many years managing the books. She is survived by her husband, Gerard Marchand; her two children, David (Cynthia) and Karen (Mark) Csele; and her five grandchildren, Christina (Chris) Dunham, Jennifer (Anoojan) Csele-Sriharan, Nicholas, Braydon, and Tyson. Her brother John survives her in Ottawa. Predeceased by her parents, Norma and Joseph (Bert) Rivet. Per her request, no funeral service will be held. The family asks that you honor her memory by spending time with loved ones or making a donation to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are in the care of J.J. Patterson & Sons Funeral Residence.
