Maria (née Sdao) MAZZEI

Maria Mazzei (née Sdao) passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the age of 86. She was the beloved wife of Carmelo Mazzei and cherished mother of Carmen (Debbie), the late Tony (daughter-in-law Cheryl), and the late Connie. Maria was a proud and loving Nonna to Hannah, Tyler, Meaghan, Sydney, and Emily. She will be fondly remembered by her sister, Rose Fucile, as well as by many extended family members and friends. Maria was predeceased by her parents, Roger and Catharine Sdao of Welland. The Mazzei family will receive relatives and friends at the Welland Funeral Home on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrews The Apostle Church. Entombment will follow in Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. Donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Alzheimer's Society of Niagara Region or St. Andrews church.
