Lloyd (Wilburn) MacKinnon

Lloyd MacKinnon passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026, at the age of 89, surrounded by his family at the Welland Hospital. Born on November 17, 1936, in Sunny Brae, Nova Scotia, Lloyd is survived by his wife of 66 years, Helen, and their sons, Allan and Richard. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Richard, Alex, and Ian, and his great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Oliver, and Isla. Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Ruth, and siblings-in-law, May, John, and Buck. Lloyd was predeceased by his parents, Wilburn and Mary, his infant brother, Henry Alexander, and his sister, Norma Oliver. Lloyd had a distinguished teaching career, serving as Vice-Principal at several schools, including Ridgeway Crystal Beach High School, and was devoted to his family and community, including his work with Port Colborne Minor Hockey.
