Joyce (nee Barnes) CHREST
Joyce Chrest (nee Barnes) passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, in her 93rd year, at the age of 92. She was the beloved wife of Charles Chrest and loving mother of Sandra Bellingham (John), the late Deborah 'Debbie' Chrest (2025), David Chrest, and Peggy Miele (Dino). Joyce was the dear grandma of John Bellingham Jr. (Leslie), Victoria Moorhouse (Jeff), Nicole Staley (David), Katey Dunns (Wes), Anthony Miele, Charlie Miele, and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Maurice and Doris Barnes, brothers Lloyd (Hilda), Don, Bill (Helen), and Harry (Joanne), and sisters Phyllis Lloyd (Jack) and Helen Jinks (Don). Joyce is survived by her sister-in-law, Shirley Barnes. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire ILTC/ECU team at the Welland Hospital Site for their loving care and support over the last eight years. A service to celebrate Joyce's life will be held at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home in Welland on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 11 a.m., with visitation at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Ridgeville. In lieu of flowers, donations to Samaritan's Purse (Canada), Friends of Israel (Canada), or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
