Jane Adriana BOUMA-HACHEY

Jane Adriana Bouma-Hachey passed away on February 10, 2026, at the age of 79. Born in 1946 in Amersfoort, the Netherlands, she immigrated to Canada with her family in 1954 and settled in Bathurst, New Brunswick. She was raised and educated in Bathurst and began her successful career with Tower Jewellers. Following her marriage to Clifford Hachey, the couple moved to Thunder Bay, Ontario, where Clifford completed his university education and had a successful career in forestry. In 1984, they relocated to Welland, Ontario, following Clifford's work transfer. There she had a successful career in accounting until her retirement. Jane is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Clifford Hachey; her siblings, Elly (late Marc) and Peter (Leda); her sisters-in-law, Norma, Gemma, and Betty; her brother-in-law, Jasper; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Gerard and Wilhelminia Bouma; her brothers, Gerald (Gemma) and Hans (Betty); her sister, Willie (Jasper); her sister-in-law, Noreen; and her brother-in-law, Marc. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Welland Funeral Home Ltd.
