She is survived by her beloved husband, Marcel Bissonnette, and their children: Pauline Bissonnette-Raby (Gaetan), Albert Bissonnette (Suzanne), and Marie Bissonnette-Brickell (Mark). Irene was also cherished by her parents, Jean-Baptiste Garon and Alice Morin-Garon, along with her 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Welland Funeral Home, located at 827 E Main St, Welland, ON L3B3Y8. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Église Sacré-Coeur, followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM.
