Douglas and Naomi ABBOTT

Douglas Abbott passed away peacefully at Walker House on February 8, 2026, at the age of 79. His wife, Naomi Abbott, passed away peacefully at Welland General Hospital on February 16, 2026, at the age of 81. They are survived by their children, Mariko (Thomas) and Christopher, and their grandchildren, Nicole. Doug and Naomi met while working at the Halifax Public Library and shared a 52-year marriage. Doug was a chief reference librarian at Welland Public Library until his retirement in 2011. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted with Essentials Cremation and Burial Services.
