Doreen (nee: McCaffrey) CALARCO

Doreen Calarco (nee McCaffrey) passed away on March 30, 2026, in her 96th year. She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Peters (Henry), and her son, Jim Calarco. Doreen is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Jillian Peters, Melanie Thompson (Nick), Tyler Calarco, and Lauren Calarco, as well as her great-grandchildren, Walter, Raina, Penny, and June Thompson, and Indie Barnes. She was predeceased by her husband, Joe Calarco, and her parents, Lawrence (Bud) and Reta McCaffrey. Doreen worked at S. O. Mason Insurance in the 1950s and 1960s, then supported her husband in the family business, and later worked at St. Kevin's School. She will be deeply missed. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to visit J.J. Patterson & Sons Funeral Residence on Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A private family interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. The family extends their appreciation to the staff of Woodlands of Sunset for their care. Memorial donations may be made to Woodlands of Sunset Resident Council, St. Kevin's Parish, or the charity of one's choice.
