Diane DURLEY
Diane Durley passed away on February 6, 2026, in her 79th year. She was a devoted wife of John Durley for forty-seven years, a loving mother of Shelly (Brett), Brenda (Neill), and James (Shannon), a doting grandmother of Brianna (Jeff), Lauren, Connor, Ryan, Kaylin, Emily, and Alyssa, and an adoring great-grandmother of Emersyn and Everett. Diane was predeceased by her brothers, James (Elizabeth), William (Marion), Walter (Lynn), George (Anne), and sisters, Betty (Lou) and Marjory (Larry). She is survived by her sisters, MaryLou and Shirley (Wayne), as well as many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, longtime neighbors, and cottage friends. Diane was a longtime employee of the Welland Arena and a consistent presence at the ticket window of Junior B hockey games for many years. She enjoyed summers at the family cottage on Lake Erie, late-night canasta games, and marathon Scrabble sessions. She was an avid gardener, a creative crafter, and talented cook. Diane was happiest when cooking big holiday meals for her family, which always ended with a selection of pies and a Jell-O ring for the grandchildren. A celebration of life is planned for a later date. Online condolences are available at www.cudneyfuneralhome.com. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the PSWs who assisted at home in recent months, the staff at Welland Hospital who took such good care of her in her final days, and Dr. Gabriel for her kindness and compassion.
