Carmela RANIERI

Carmela RANIERI passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 4, 2026, in her 94th year, at the age of 93. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 66 years, Rocco. Carmela was a loving and most cherished mother of Francesca, Marisa (Scott), Lydia, Patricia (Derek); and son-in-law, Costantino. She was a loving grandmother to Robert (Sonya), Tino, Serena (Maggie), Cory (Maddie), Sierra and Kendra; and a cherished great-grandmother to Devin (Ava), Braydin and Luca. Carmela is survived by sisters, Pia (Pepe) and Franca (Luigi); and predeceased by parents, John and Maria; and sisters, Rena (Giuseppe), Lina (Pepe), Clara (Renato) and Vincenzia (Angelo). The family extends sincere thanks to the entire staff of D.H. Rapelje Lodge for their excellent care and compassion over the past year. Visitation will be held at J.J. Patterson Funeral Home, on Wednesday, April 8th, from 4-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrew of The Apostle Church, Welland, Thursday, April 9, at 10:30 a.m. with entombment to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Fonthill. If so desired, donations to a charity of your choice in Carmela's memory would be appreciated by the family.
