Barbara Evalena (nee Craig) PETRUNIAK

Barbara Evalena Petruniak (nee Craig) passed away peacefully at the Welland Hospital on Monday, March 30, 2026, at the age of 93. She was the beloved wife of the late Wm. 'Pat' Petruniak. Barbara was the loving mother of Kim Kuchar (Mike), the late Robert Petruniak, Laura Bruni, and Christine Detenbeck (James). She was the dear mother-in-law of Chris Petruniak (Mark Traynor) and Angelo Bruni. Barbara was a cherished grandmother of Bianca (Braden), Lina, Carissa (Symon), Anthony, Barbara (Mina), Alyssa (Nik), Celia (Spencer), and Bronte, and a great-grandmother of Harrison and Briar. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Regina Craig, twin grandsons Michael and William, sister Elizabeth Hersom, and brother William Craig. Barbara will be fondly remembered by her sister-in-law, June Craig, and brother-in-law, John Hersom. Friends are invited to a Funeral Mass at Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, 300 Chaffey Street, Welland, on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 10 a.m. The Rite of Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
