Ann (nee Kingma) RUTHERFORD

Ann (nee Kingma) Rutherford passed away peacefully at Welland Hospital on June 20, 2026, at the age of 91. She was predeceased by her husband Earl Texford Rutherford. Ann and Earl are survived by their children, Rocky (Anne), Helen Schweitzer (Bob), and Janet (Marty) and their families. Ann is also survived by her siblings and their families: Dorothy Kimber (Jay), Sam (Anne), and Andy in Ontario, Rita Tomlinson (Steve), Dina (Ron Nelson), and John (Anita) in BC. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Aukje Kingma, and siblings, Rick, Clarence, Susan, Gerda, and Douglas. Ann was born on October 29, 1934, in Nieuwerbrug, North Holland, the Netherlands, and immigrated to Canada with her family in 1952. Ann and Earl were married on September 6, 1957. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Foyer Richelieu Welland for their excellent care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. A family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
