Andrew Riddell

Andrew George Riddell, born on May 14, 1952, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, at the age of 74, after a brief illness at Gilmore Lodge in Fort Erie, Ontario. He is survived by his brothers, David and his wife Karen, and Daniel, as well as his sister, Nadine and her husband Bill, nephews Derek and Christopher and his wife Brittany, niece Natalie, and grandnieces Abigail and Ava. Andrew was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Ivy Riddell, and his sister-in-law, Norine. Before losing his eyesight, Andrew was an avid writer, having penned two children's adventure books, and enjoyed various outdoor activities including camping, fishing, and long walks. He also appreciated spending time with friends over coffee at his favorite local café. The family extends their gratitude to the staff at Gilmore Lodge, particularly those in the Point Abino wing, and the dedicated team at CNIB, with a special thank you to Dana for their many years of support. A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Welland, Ontario, on July 13th at 1:00 p.m.
