Elizabeth (Liz) Hegyes

Elizabeth Hegyes, also known as Liz, passed away unexpectedly on August 6, 2026, at the age of 73. She was the loving wife of Leslie and is predeceased by her daughter Lisa, parents Elizabeth and Imre, sister Mary Braico, brother Imre, and brother-in-law Gene Fortin. Liz is remembered by her sister Martha Matyas, sister-in-law Helen, and Margaret, as well as her cousins, nieces, and nephews. A visitation will be held at J.J. Patterson Funeral Residence in Welland, Ontario, on August 12, 2026, followed by a funeral service and interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
