William Robert "Bob" McCORMICK

William Robert McCormick, known to many as Bob, passed away on July 29, 2026, at the age of 88. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends for his kind, gracious, and loving nature. Bob is survived by his daughter Lisa and her husband Dana Wells, his son Greg and his wife Andrea McCormick, and his adored grandchildren Sam Wells, Megan, and Rachel McCormick. He was predeceased by his wife Pat of 55 years and his parents William and Frieda McCormick. Bob had a distinguished career, earning a BA in Political Science from the University of Toronto and an LLB from Osgoode, and was called to the Bar with Honours in 1965. He practiced law before joining the Ontario Government, serving as a commissioner and ultimately retiring as vice chair of the Ontario Rental Housing Tribunal. A visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home in Waterloo on August 12, 2026, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Bob's life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated.
