William "Bill" Grover McArdle
William 'Bill' Grover McArdle passed away peacefully at Age Care West Williams in Kitchener on July 11, 2026, at the age of 91. He is reunited with his wife, Jean, who predeceased him. Bill was a devoted father to Kimberly, Kathryn, and Jody, and a loving grandfather to Laura, Joel, Sam, and Jess, as well as a great-grandfather to Evelyn and Ophelia. He was predeceased by his sister Connie Taylor and brother-in-law Harry Taylor. Bill is also survived by his stepbrother and sister, Mary Susan Aitken and Jeff McArdle, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Born on October 28, 1934, in Woodstock, Ontario, Bill moved to Kitchener as a young boy and later met his wife Jean while working at Electrohome. He spent many years working at CN Weber Ltd. and J.M. Schneider Meats, retiring in 1999. In his retirement, Bill enjoyed painting and donating blood over 100 times. A long-time member of Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church, Bill cherished his friendships and community. Following cremation, a visitation will be held at Erb & Good Funeral Home in Waterloo on July 21, 2026, at 10 a.m., followed by a chapel service at 11 a.m. and a reception. A private interment will take place at First Mennonite Church Cemetery. The family appreciates donations to Mennonite Central Committee or Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church, which can be arranged through the funeral home.
