Wayne Ross BARNARD

Wayne Ross Barnard passed away unexpectedly at his home in Waterloo on Monday, May 4, 2026, at the age of 59. He will be reunited with his wife, Nancy. Wayne is survived by his mother, Helen Barnard, who was predeceased by her husband Ralph Barnard. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Jeramie King and his wife Thuany Ruotolo, Tia Petrie, and Sarah Shafer and her husband Adam Bergeron, as well as his grandchildren, Jaden, Tegan, and Sydney. Wayne is further survived by his sister, Karen Guitard, and her husband Jeff. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, the family will receive friends and family during a visitation on Sunday, May 17 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held in Arkell, Ontario at a later date. Wayne will be missed by his former hockey teammates, coworkers from Cascade Corporation and Carelift Equipment, as well as many friends from Sault Ste. Marie and Waterloo. In lieu of flowers, donations to Diabetes Canada or the Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth would be appreciated by the family.
