Rosario Hoefert (née de Turégano Maquez) passed away on January 17, 2026, at the age of 99. Born in Madrid, Spain in 1926, she came to Canada in 1951 after spending some years in London, England. Predeceased by her husband Sigfrid Hoefert, her son Frederick, and her siblings Amparin and Jeronimo. Survived by her two daughters Monica and Teresa. Cremation has taken place. A memorial celebration will take place at a later date.
