Robert (Bob) Allan Taylor passed away peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Columbia Forest LTC, Waterloo, in his 100th year. He was 99 years old at the time of his death. Bob is survived by his beloved children, Danny (Heather), Robert (Barbara), Bonnie (predeceased by her husband Craig in 2023), Virginia (Richard), Peggy-Lee (Alfred), and Laura (Richard). He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Jason, Ian (2023), James, Stephan, Tara, Sarah, Dawn, Angela, and Rachel, as well as all his great-grandchildren. Robert is also remembered by his brother, Earl. He was predeceased by his first spouse, Jeannie Gordon Taylor, and his second spouse, Beatrice Taylor, his grandson, Ian, his son-in-law, Craig, and his brothers and sister. Bob worked at both Waterloo North Hydro and at CNR, where he made many lifelong connections. He was also a proud member of the Waterloo Branch 530 Legion, where he spent much of his time. Bob was also a skilled shuffleboard player and enjoyed golfing in his free time. Visitation will take place at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 10 - 12 p.m. and from 2 - 4 p.m. and on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 10 - 11:30 a.m. Private family interment to take place at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. In lieu of flowers, condolences for the family or donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Kitchener Waterloo Poppy Fund may be arranged through the funeral home at 519-745-8445 or at www.erbgood.com.
