Patricia Ann "Pat" DAVIS

Patricia Ann 'Pat' Davis passed away on July 2, 2026, at the age of 90, in Waterloo. She is survived by her cousin Tim Marles and his wife Tammy, as well as her adopted family, including Henry and Diane Stronks and their children and grandchildren. Pat was predeceased by her parents, George and Cecelia Lillian Davis, and her partner Anne Ashcroft. Born in Windsor, Ontario, Pat grew up to be an accomplished athlete and educator, earning degrees from the University of Toronto and the University of North Carolina. She began her teaching career in Windsor and later became the Director of Women's Athletics at the University of Waterloo, a position she held from 1967 until her retirement in 1994. Pat's dedication to women's athletics led to significant changes in funding and organization, and she was inducted into the University of Waterloo Athletics Hall of Fame in 1994 and the Ontario Volleyball Hall of Fame in 2019. The family is grateful for the care and support provided by Waterloo Heights, Ontario Health at Home, and other healthcare providers. A celebration of life will be held to honor Pat's memory.
