Nesammah Singarajah

The family announces the passing of Nesammah Singarajah in Waterloo, Ontario, on October 4, 2026. She was predeceased by her spouse, Dr. Thambirajah Singarajah; her child, Selvi; her children-in-law, Dr. Kirupananthan and Manisekaram; her siblings, Jeyaratanam, Emily, Rev. Sam Thamboo, Arulpiragasam, Jeyapakiyam, Gnanamma, James Thamboo, and Thavamani; as well as her siblings-in-law, Thavamany, Suppiramaniam, Manoranjithamalar, Sunthararasa, Rajeswari, Ponmany, Selvarasa, Thurairajah, Christabelle, Selvanayagam, Thangarani, Sabapathy, Rasamani, Johnrajah, Karuna, Punitharajah, and Gaprialpillai. Nesammah is survived by her mother-in-law, Thambirajah; her children, Rajan, Raji, Selvyn, Raj, and Shiyamali; her children-in-law, Clara, Rohini, and Thayaliny; her siblings-in-law, Ratnarajah (Canada), Lohini (Canada), Ariyakunarajah (Sri Lanka), and Ratnampal (Sri Lanka); her grandchildren, Roger (Jayany), Shiromi (Surenthar), Christine, Elvyn (Pavithra), Dr. Mirushigha, Jason (Sarah), Jadon, Hamza, and Diluxan; and her great-grandchildren, Aroosh, Nikhinth, Gavin, Thriksha, and Radha. Visitation was held on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, located at 171 King St S, Waterloo, ON N2J1P7. A funeral service took place on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home Chapel. Following the service, a burial was conducted at Parkview Cemetery, located at 335 University Ave E, Waterloo, ON N2K3M7, from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nesammah's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society, in honour of her life and in support of those living with dementia and the families who care for them.
