Mrs. Jean Elizabeth Balahura (Nana)

Mrs. Jean Elizabeth Balahura passed away at WRHN Midtown on June 15, 2026, at the age of 82. She was the daughter of the late James and Mary George and the devoted wife of Bob Balahura. Jean was the loving mother of Rob and Melissa (Tom) and treasured Nana of Jessica (Brandon). She was also a proud Nana to her great-granddaughter, Nora. Jean is survived by her siblings Lucy (Larry), Dave (Bev), and Linda (Paul). She was predeceased by her siblings Marjorie (Del), Jerry (Eileen), George (Joyce), Johnny (Jean), Eugene (Patsy), Mike (Margaret), Nancy (Garland), and Barbara (Ron). A funeral mass, followed by a reception, will be held at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, 80 University Ave W, Waterloo, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2026. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean's memory may be made to Cancer Care at the Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN) Foundation.
