Mary Magdalene Thring

Mary Magdalene Thring of Waterloo, Ontario, passed away on October 21, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on July 22, 1937, she was surrounded by family, friends, and community throughout her life. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Paul Distler and Marion Distler (Rederer), as well as her siblings, Joe Distler and Theresa Ditner. She is survived by her sons, Larry Distler (Brenda), David Thring, and Randy Thring (Michelle); her grandchildren, Emma, Grace, Justin, Jason, Jon, Xavier, Alice, and Cayden; and her close friend Gew. A burial service will take place on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Agatha R. C. Cemetery, located at 1820 Notre Dame Dr, Wilmot, ON N3A3M3. Memorial donations may be made to the Carmelite Sisters of St. Agatha through the funeral home's website.
