Mary Catherine "Cate" BENDER

Mary Catherine 'Cate' Bender passed away after a brief illness on April 13, 2026, at the age of 79. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Paul; daughter, Elizabeth; grandchildren, Drewe, Lexi, and Evan; sister, Jane; and brother-in-law, Gino of Toronto. She was predeceased by her parents, Ian and Berenice McLaren. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home in Waterloo on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service in the chapel of the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow in the funeral home's Fireside Reception Room. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Township of Georgian Bay Public Library Board may be arranged through the funeral home.
