Margaret Jean (nee Attwater) BAIRD
Margaret Jean Baird (nee Attwater) passed away peacefully at WRHN @ Chicopee on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at the age of 84. She will be deeply missed by her loving sons Jason (Sylvia) and Jeremy (Melissa), and her grandchildren Hannah, Jack, Ben, Joe, and Abby. She is also survived by her nephew Bradley Newstead and niece Jackie (Al) and Keeley Newstead. Jean was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, James Foster Baird. Born to Margaret Attwater and Lloyd, Jean spent her formative years in Galt with her mother and younger sister Glenda. Jean began her working career at Bell Canada and later worked at Zehrs. She cherished the friendships she made throughout her life. The family would like to extend special thanks to the palliative care team in 'Ice Cream Corner' at Chicopee. Visitation will take place at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home in Waterloo on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., followed by a private family graveside service at Parkview Cemetery in Waterloo. In lieu of flowers, donations to WRHN @ Chicopee Palliative Care or Grand River Cancer Centre may be arranged through the funeral home.
