Mabel Sophia (Sherrer) FINCH
Mabel Sophia (Sherrer) Finch passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at the age of 107. She is survived by her special daughter, Marybeth Phillips and husband Bob, and daughters-in-law, Gail and Brenda. Mabel was predeceased by her loving husband, Herbert, and treasured sons, James and Robert, as well as granddaughter Megan. She was a dear Granny to Tanya McIntee (Murray), Andrew Finch (Holly), Natalie Ferrier (Rory), Leigh-Anne Finch (Steve), Amanda Sandor (Tamas), Becky Finch (Ryan), and Kathryn Phillips. Mabel was also a special Great Granny to Jason (Shelby) and Alison (Shane) McIntee, Brooke Ferrier and Peyton Ferrier, and James Shantz and Lennon Shantz. She is also survived by her siblings, Joseph (1944), Marcia (1997), Alfred (1946), Irene Runstedler, Lucy Baker (2023), Mary Runstedler (2021), Bill (2002), Richard, Margaret Willock (1993), Leonard (2025), Bernice (1998), Jerome, and John (2021). Mabel was an active CWL member for 90 years and spent her working years at Electrohome and the University of Waterloo Co-op Office. A Funeral Mass will be held at St Michael Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with Fellowship directly following in the Parish Hall. Interment will take place at Parkview Cemetery.
