John ALBRECHT

John G. Albrecht passed away on February 4, 2026, at the age of 87. He was the husband of Mary (Reimer) Albrecht, with whom he shared over 63 years of marriage. He is survived by his children, John Albrecht, Jackie Albrecht, and Rob Albrecht, and his grandchildren, Nikita Smith, Possum Albrecht, Vance Smith, and Adelia Albrecht. He was predeceased by his brother Franz Albrecht. John was also survived by his sister Hilde Balzer and many extended family members and friends. He was a devoted family man and a successful entrepreneur who built his life from scratch. John was a machinist at Carlings/Labatts for 20 years and owned numerous rental properties in Kitchener-Waterloo. He was a founder of John's Nursery, which he operated with his wife near St. Jacobs. Visitation will take place at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
