Elizabeth White

Elizabeth Jean White passed away on June 11, 2026, at the age of 85, in Waterloo, Ontario. Born in Coulsdon, Surrey, England, during World War II, Elizabeth demonstrated remarkable courage and resilience throughout her life. She trained as a radiotherapy technician before marrying Dr. Michael Kamarianakis and moving to the United States, Greece, and later England to care for her mother. At fifty, she began a new career as an art therapist. In 1997, Elizabeth immigrated to Canada, where she built a fulfilling life and community. She will be remembered for her curiosity, interest in people, and optimism. Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Chris and Tim Kamarianakis, and their spouses, as well as her grandchildren and many dear friends. A private family celebration of her life will be held, and in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations. Elizabeth recently completed her memoir, The Harvest of Memories, which preserves the story of her life for future generations.
