Dennis Brian RABIDEAU

Dennis Brian Rabideau passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at Waterloo Hospice on July 24, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on July 20, 1942, in Listowel, Ontario, he was the youngest of ten children to Maurice and Margaret Rabideau. Dennis was a devoted husband to Ferne Schwartzentruber, with whom he shared 29 years of marriage and 18 years of friendship. He was a loving father to the late Darlene Cunningham, and a cherished grandfather of Ryan Cunningham, Alicia Cunningham, and Cathy Tatsis. Dennis was also a great-grandfather to Syrus, Slayton, Izzy, Bentley, Alyea, Mya, and Michael. He is survived by his sister Marion Janikovitz, sister-in-law Tillie, and many nieces and nephews. Dennis was predeceased by his parents, sisters Margaret, Bunny, and Betty, and brothers Francis, Louie, Clifford, Ken, and Donnie. He had a long and fulfilling career, working at Spinrite Yarns for ten years and Listowel Memorial Hospital for over 30 years. After retirement, Dennis dedicated his time to the Middle Maitland River Rejuvenation Committee and enjoyed playing golf with friends. A private gathering will be held at a later date, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to BIC Canada Global Fund in support of Amanda Schwartzentruber Moono and the Macha Mission Hospital in Zambia.
